Deepthroat, at the moment I live in a subtropical climate and the only CBC I get is Hockey Night in Canada on the NHL network. Hey, atleast I get Don Cherry, one of the few Canadians who has the guts to say what is on his mind. I will look at the CBC website and see if I can find what you are referring to.

Regarding politics, I was a big supporter of the Reform/CA party. They were the only party who had a platform that stood up for the RCMP, instead of the watered down version that has been pushed for so long. Members such as Yorktown MP Gary Berkewitz openly spoke out about the political correctness that was plaguing the outfit. Unfortunately, the message of reality they were sending wasn’t trendy or sexy enough for the voters. The new Conservative party isn’t a whole lot better than the Liberals were at taking a stand.

There was another former Saskatchewan MP who got muzzled by Harper and eventually was kicked out of the party for being an outspoken critic of the way the RCMP was conducting its hiring. Short of this, I can’t think of too many politicians who dared to speak out in the politically incorrect way they have…. Most just cave to the special interest groups.

Yes Johnny, there truly is no shame in politics. Whatever will garner votes, get air time, curry favor, or enrage the opposition, is the mainstay of these people. I have long ago given up the hope that something right would be done simply for doing it..

I find it hilarious that the Liberals are the ones crusading in to save the day advocating an extra 5000 positions when it was them who shut down depot and excluded a generation of white males from joining.
