Sheri Ebert, Saskatoon, SK (News Talk 650 CKOM) – A Saskatchewan RCMP officer will be honoured for her bravery in a harrowing situation.
It was three years ago that Constable Michelle Knopp tried to help her two fallen comrades as ashootout raged with Curtis Dagenais.
It happened near Spiritwood and Mildred, north west of Saskatoon.
Constables Robin Cameron and Marc Bourdage later died from their injuries.
Now Knopp is one of 18 people getting a medal of Bravery from Governor General Michaƫlle Jean.
