Moncton, N.B. (Canadian Press) - A New Brunswick man has been sent for a five day psychiatric assessment after being charged in connection with an incident at the RCMP detachment in Moncton, N.B.
Police say they used a Taser to subdue a man armed with a knife after he lunged at an employee and then refused to drop the weapon.
Jean-Guy Cormier, in his mid-40’s, faces two charges of assault and one of possession of a dangerous weapon.
Cormier is due back in court Mar 7.
