RCMP officer pleads guilty to assault charge

(CBC News) – A Fort Saskatchewan RCMP officer pleaded guilty Monday to assaulting a woman at a party in November 2008.

Const. Mario Jimenez was granted a conditional discharge by a provincial court judge in St. Albert.

If Jimenez completes the conditions successfully, he will avoid a criminal record.
