A Regina RCMP constable facing several criminal charges — including uttering a death threat and assault with a weapon — was not in Regina Provincial Court on Thursday for his first court appearance.
Instead, a lawyer appeared on behalf of Kevin Reid Gregson, 40, and adjourned the matter until December on Gregson’s behalf.
Gregson is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, uttering a death threat, assault with a weapon and intimidation.
The charges were laid after a four-month police investigation into a May 14 incident inside an office in north Regina, during which Gregson is alleged to have threatened an unidentified man with a knife.
Gregson was not on duty at the time of the alleged altercation, and has been suspended with pay until the charges are dealt with.
