Brookfield, N.S. (Canadian Press) - A quick-thinking RCMP officer from Nova Scotia is being praised for risking his own life and preventing a possible train derailment.
Const. Frank Deschenes was among a number of officers responding to single-vehicle accident just south of Brookfield early today.
The accident left the vehicle stuck on some railway tracks, and a CN freight train was only minutes away.
Deschenes crashed his police cruiser into the car, pushing it out of the way with just 45 seconds to spare.
The RCMP say Deschenes’ selfless actions saved lives.
No other details were released.

Police Officers are similar to sheep dogs. The sheep are a little leery of the sheep dog. They sometimes have to move the sheep here and there. But when that Wolfe comes around they love that old sheep dog!

True enough. How is your civil suit against the RCMP coming?

Deepthroat,
I have never had a civil suite with the RCMP. I lodged two complaints with the Canadian Human Rights Commission during my career. Further action was not taken by me due to settlements. I have been retired from the RCMP for over two years.
Experiencing the deception is greatly enhanced when a member of the RCMP is shaking my hand and smiling, and I have copies of his e-mails in my back pocket that is planning my career demise. The core values of the RCMP as it relates to employees are the guide; not my opinions or beliefs. The Privacy Act is a great tool to be used when seeking justice. Please remember that gossip is the most toxic form of communication.

Human rights tribunals / commissions are are exercises in civil law, as opposed to criminal law. My apologies for not being more specific, and referring to your complaint as a suit, or suite as you refer to it.
Hopefully you are satisfied with your settlements, as you stated before in a previous post you did not compromise your principles. I take it there is a gag order in place as your “case” does not appear on the appropriate website.

It never ceases to amaze me how we can get so off topic in these discussions. The topic under discussion is the good works of an RCMP officer. Deepthroat, it appears that you have a great deal of interest in my conflict with individual RCMP members and the RCMP’s failure to hold them accountable.
This is not the format to discuss my situation. If you would like to know more simply send me a mailing address at

You see Deepthroat when it comes to fighting for justice in these situations, fear and justice don’t occupy the same space in my head. That is why I am willing to use my real name here. No one can make me feel inferior without my consent and I will never let someone’s negative opinion of me become my reality.
