St. John’s, N.L. (Canadian Press) – An RCMP officer is facing seven fraud charges after the police force conducted an internal review into government credit card expenses.
Cpl. Donald Perrett was charged with seven counts of fraud under $5,000 after the RCMP launched an internal probe into government credit card spending between June 2006 and May 2007.
At the time, Perrett worked in various capacities for the RCMP in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Perrett’s case has been set over to May 28 in provincial court for election and plea.
The 42-year-old Gatineau, Que., man now works in Ottawa in the RCMP’s national use of force unit.
INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY, just like you and me, unless someone has suspended the Charter and did not tell us.

Well he should have no problem paying fines since he still works for the RCMP. Is this fair?
