The moral standards of society are not the same as they were 20 years or 30 years ago. Or are you too young to remember? Adultery is not a new concept. Being promiscuous is not something new. Society is responsible for itself. It allows or disallows, condones or condemns actions differently in different ages. The hue and cry over the moral majority and the right wing conservatives is at an all time high. Just what is it that society wants is difficult to define these days. Probably the same number of doctors, lawyers, clergymen, businessmen, and plumbers. The moral standards of society are not the same as they were 20 years or 30 years ago. There are a lot of things that go on in many detachments such as inter orgainzational affairs and wife swapping that has caused the force plenty of unofficial non duty embarassment over the years. But, when you start to tie your sex life into your job, that is where one has to draw the line. When you go cruising for love, leave your job out of it. What I find sad is that it is guys like Thomas Richards, (Trent's father) are a dying breed. He was from the generation that was actually taught this kind of pride in the force. Nowdays the word pride is something too many members only pay lip service to. Now day's I am not sure whose character is more the exception. Trent or his fathers's...
