Antigonish, N.S. (Canadian Press) – An RCMP officer in northeastern Nova Scotia is facing two charges of common assault after a domestic violence complaint was received last month.
Const. Luc MacInnis, of Antigonish, is being charged in connection with incidents in December 2011 and June 2012.
A complaint was laid against the 28-year-old officer on Sept. 25.
The Mounties passed the case to the province’s Serious Incident Response Team, which is called in to investigate allegations against police officers.
MacInnis is scheduled to appear in Antigonish on Dec. 19.
