Vancouver, B.C. (Canadian Press) - A Mountie reinstated after being accused of buying sex from two teenage prostitutes more than 10 years ago now is suing the Canadian and B.C. governments, as well as a high-ranking RCMP officer.
Const. Justin Harris wants compensation for what he claims is negligence, malicious prosecution and abuse of authority.
Harris was suspended with pay in September 2004 pending an RCMP misconduct hearing over allegations he bought sex from underage prostitutes between 1993 and 2001.
A hearing by an RCMP disciplinary panel was cancelled in 2006 when the panel ruled Mounties took too long to bring the case forward, and an appeal was abandoned last year after one of the young women who was a key witness died.
Harris, who maintains his innocence, was ordered reinstated last year and now lives in Kamloops.

If he is innocent beyond ALL doubt (not reasonable), I hope he gets every dime that is coming to him.
