(Vancouver Province) – A 30-year-old man arrested by Surrey RCMP and taken to hospital on the evening of May 16 has now died.
Vancouver Police were asked by the Surrey RCMP to take over the investigation and are now awaiting autopsy results to confirm the cause of death.
Surrey RCMP had responded to a 911 complaint of a man repeatedly honking a car horn while parked in the Claytonwood Grove area of Surrey near 64th Avenue and 184th Street. The man sped off as officers approached but was located a short distance away in his car.
Investigators are looking at any contributing factors preceding the incident that may have led to his hospitalization.
