Vancouver (Canadian Press) - A former Mountie and Vancouver police officer is facing four sex charges dating back to the early 1970s.
Sixty-two-year-old Robert Gordon Bodkin is accused of two counts of gross indecency and two of indecent assault in incidents said to have occurred between 1972 and 1975.
Bodkin was with the Vancouver police during that time, but Const. Tim Fanning says the sex assaults did not happen while Bodkin was on duty.
Bodkin was also a Mountie in the mid-1960s.
Vancouver police are asking anyone who may be able to help in their investigation of Bodkin to contact them.
Bodkin is now working as a Transit Supervisor for the Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver.
