Vancouver, B.C. (CKNW AM980) - An RCMP officer is suing a fellow mountie for damages after an alleged mishap in a weight room.
Edward Roberge claims he was in the weight room at the E-Division Explosive Disposal Unit when he was hit in the head with a three-pound hand-held weight.
In documents filed in BC Supreme Court, Roberge alleges the weight was in the control of another officer, Patrick Thibeault, who Roberge says failed to use the standard of care required of a reasonable person using hand-held weights.
In an alternative scenerio, Roberge alleges Thibeault intentionally committed battery by throwing the weight and hitting him.
Roberge claims he suffered injuries and is suing Thibeault, along with the Attorney General of Canada and the Solicitor General, for damages.

This is going on in other places as well in Canada
When Frazer McAlley rose up against the former Commissioner of the RCMP in Ottawa and they were both from the Province of New Brunswick that should of been the RED Flag to do something about their history back in the Province of New Brunswick. But No!
The reason not allot is coming out in the media from members of the RCMP is because of the RCMP ACT and not because of the some of the frastrated members will to expose coruption within when it’s being ignored by senior RCMP staffing members.
